We have recently become aware of a WhatsApp scam, where fraudsters represent themselves as Cloudfusion. These scammers entice individuals with offers of freelance or part-time positions for social media marketing, adding Google reviews, etc. often requesting an upfront fee to continue the job.

We want to reassure our valued customers and visitors that we are not in the business of providing freelance or part-time job opportunities. If you receive a message from someone claiming to represent our agency and offering you employment, we kindly ask you to avoid responding, report and block them immediately.

At Cloudfusion, we are dedicated to maintaining brand protection standards to safeguard our reputation. Our name is a valuable asset that people rely on to identify and trust our services. Recently, we discovered unauthorised use of our name for personal gain, prompting immediate action.

We treat such fraudulent activities seriously, as they damage our reputation and misguide well-intentioned clients. We are actively countering this fraud by reporting it to authorities and pursuing legal action against those responsible.

We encourage anyone who has been approached by individuals claiming to be Cloudfusion offering marketing services to verify their credentials and contact us directly to confirm the legitimacy of the offer.

Below, you will find screenshots illustrating how scammers are approaching users in the name of Cloudfusion. We have included messages that concerned users have forwarded to us as a way to report these fraudulent activities. Some scammers have even gone to the extent of creating fake ID cards when asked for proof. We share these screenshots to raise awareness about this scam and to keep you informed about the tactics scammers are employing. It’s disheartening that these deceptive activities are happening under our name, and we’re taking every possible measure to stop them.

Tips to Help You Identify and Avoid Scam

This scam operates through virtual numbers, making it impossible for users to call back the number used by scammers. This should raise suspicion about the legitimacy of the contact. We can provide you with some tips to help you avoid falling victim to such scams.

  • Conduct a thorough validation before you start
  • Ask for more information about the company and verify the authenticity of the company
  • Contact the company’s customer support to confirm that the offer is legitimate
  • Be cautious of projects that either appear too simple or overly complex relative to the compensation offered, or demand upfront fees
  • Ensure that the payment methods are secure (PayPal, escrow services) – enquire about this before you start with the project
  • Record all the activities such as emails, chats with the company or individual you are dealing with
  • Make sure to report any suspicious activity
Disclaimer: We strictly refrain from using “Black hat” methods and do not endorse them. We have not employed anyone to contact you for any promotions under our brand name “Cloudfusion”. Please note that we cannot be held accountable for any outcomes arising from such interactions.

If you receive any marketing opportunity for quick money or freelancing opportunity, it’s definitely not us, and it becomes one’s individual responsibility to check the authenticity of the call they receive before making a decision.
